Oakland On The Move

Understated. That’s how my team and I experienced the city of Oakland. So, we aimed to convey the city as colorful (in more ways than one!) and vivacious while centering the brand on showcasing its citizens and the city’s neighborhoods. We created a city-wide branding campaign that incorporated real images of Oakland’s real citizens, as a way to demonstrate the city as inclusive and proud of its local personalities, in an effort to bring life and unity to an often disparate community. The underlying tone of the campaign was also to promote public transportation and sustainability.
